WOW!! its been a while! haha

Well..... seems like the last post I made was about Cody being deployed. He left September 12th, early in the morning. It was a very tough day for me, but I made it through. He was in Kuwait for about 3 weeks, then they made it over to Iraq safely, which is where he is right now. We talk online and or on the phone mostly everyday. He is doing very well. Since I am due in January, he will be able to come home and be with us for 2 weeks before he has to go back. I cannot wait to see him, I feel like it has been ages!

Bags...

Cody packed his bags tonight. I had to do all I could to not cry, I need to be strong for him. I dont want him to see me cry, he's already told me that if I do in front of him, it'll make leaving so much harder.... Im not sure I can hold in it any longer though... My husband is leaving for Iraq. I wont see him for many many months, I wont know if he is okay or not. I dont think Ill be able to watch the news anymore... Hearing about soldiers dying and all... I dont wanna see that, and worry that its Cody they are talking about... I cant help but think the worst... but I am hoping for the best...

He's really leaving...

It still hasn't hit me that Cody is leaving within the next week, but he is. He is going to place that I never dreamed of him going. Last night he asked me if I think Caleb will forget him. I assured him that no matter what Caleb will always know his dad. Maybe I lied, because I really don't know. I don't know what this next year will bring, I don't know what Caleb will be like in a year, he should remember, but who really knows.  I don't know what our daughter will be like. She will be 9 months old when he comes back, the first 9 months of her life she will not know her father. All I can do is pray that she won't be afraid of him, that would be aweful.

The only things I do know for sure about this coming year is that he is going to be gone, and when he comes back I will love him just like I loved him on the day he left.

Family Picnik...

Today we are going to the Family Picnik sponsored by the bank that has "adopted" my husbands battery. I'm pretty excited to go, and meet all the people that Cody talks about everyday!! Haha, the only one I actually know is BJ. But as much as I am excited, It kinda bums me out too, because this picnik, is a going away party for the guys. Its making this deployment more and more real to me. We have known about it since we moved here in May, but it never really hit me. I dont think it really will until he has been gone for a few days, because Im use to not seeing him all the time.

Confesions of a bookstore-a-holic

A few weeks ago I found my new love while buying books for my sons birthday. I bought him 6 Dr. Seuss books, a word book, and 2 books for myself. I also ordered "Horton Hears A Who" that day. I went to the store today to inquire about the book I had ordered. I also decided to just look around a little. An hour later I go to the checkout, with my ONE book. I could have gotten a hundred more, but I didnt think the hubs would have liked that. I got the third installment of Confessions of a Shop-a-holic. I asked about my order, and it hasnt come in yet, but they will call me when it comes in!! Yet ANOTHER day I can go to the bookstore. There is something so calming about the atmospere, it makes me want to stay all day. I wanted to buy books on nearly everything. Cooking, animals, presidents, Corvettes, yoga, sushi making. They had this beautiful baby book with thick purple ribbon, tied in a knot, attached to the binding for a bookmark, I wanted to buy 2; one for my new baby, and a new one for my son. I want to get him a new baby book, his other one isnt special enough. My husband would look at me like I had nine heads of I had come home with 2 baby books. Not only because I am only pregnant with one, but because I already have one for both children. I am ready to admit, I am addicted to books, and the bookstore.

Her little foot...
SHE"S A GIRL!!! =D

Rainy Days

Me and Cody are just sitting at home today. Its raining... Right now he is playing madden, Caleb is sleeping, and I've been on the computer for a few hours. WOW Im productive. We should be packing, and getting ready for the deployment. But neither one of us wanna think of him actually leaving... 2 weeks...

2 weeks from today, my husband will be leaving me, for an entire year. He leaves the day before Calebs first birthday. He wont be here for his first, or second birthday. Our 2nd anniversary. Our second Valentines day. My second birthday in a row, he will be gone. The birth of our second child. He wont be here. He wasnt here for Thanksgiving last year, and wont be for this year either. That day I will be thankful for having a husband who cares enough about me to risk his life, for me, our son, our daughter on the way and our country.

I'm going to miss him so much....

ITS A GIRL!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! (<--- thats me, REALLY excited)

The ultrasound went so wonderfully! Found out we are having a baby girl, she is growing perfectly fine, and she is healthy!! She weighs about 13oz right now. =) The entire time during the ultrasound she was kicking, and moving around. She yawned, and we were able to see that on the screen. There is nothing more amazing about pregnancy than being able to see your baby and feel her kicking. It's my favorite part of all of this.

Turns out there was an error on my blood test, so the abnormal results were acually wrong after they recalcuated everything. All that worrying for nothing. All that matters in the end though is that she is healthy.

FRG Meeting!?!?!

FRG- Army term for "Family Readiness Group" We had a meeting tonight. I havent been to one until tonight. I had to because it was a mandatory meeting. I left my house at 5:45, picked up Crystal at 6, got to the meeting at 6:30. Which lasted 20 minutes, and then we were then free to go. All I did was sign in. Did I get useful information like promised? NO!!! Did I enjoy driving an hour and a half? NO!!! Was I upset that I had been missing out on the meetings? HELL NO!!!  But I did I learn someting at  the meeting..... Only that FRG meeting are a waste of time, and energy.
This little boy, with his perfect little smile and beautiful laugh. He can turn my around day in an instant. I never thought I could love anyone as much as I do him.

SLEEP!!!

Sleep is possibly the best time of the day for me... Whether its me sleeping or my son taking his nap. I love sleeping. There is not much more I can say about it. Other than it is simply AMAZING!! It may be the pregnant women in me thinking it is such a god sent, but I dont care. I absolutly and in love. I can go to bed angry, confused, TIRED, sick, anything really and I'd be in a GREAT mood afterwards.

Planning Calebs Birthday

Ive come up with a theme... Dr. Seuss!!! But, thats really all Ive come up with! I have a few games in the works. But then I think, really?... games at a first birthday party? Hes not going to enjoy them. Only the guests will... is that all that matters? Throwing a good party? Whether the guest of honor has fun or not? He may enjoy watching all his family members enjoy the festivities. Although its HIS party, shouldn't he be the center of attention. Then I begin to think, what is a party without games though? Can you really call it a party.

More on this later..... when I make a better decision.

First Post!!
